Walnut High School was a small public high school located in Walnut, Iowa. It served the local community by providing education for students in grades 9 through 12. Being part of a rural area, the school was known for its close-knit community and often participated in various local events and activities. Due to declining enrollment numbers and budgetary constraints, Walnut High School closed in 2016, and students from the area were then redirected to attend nearby schools within the AHSTW Community School District.
